Shane Rawley’s Peter Cobb series follows a former Major Leaguer whose battles didn’t end when he left the mound. In Three Strikes You’re Out, readers meet Peter Cobb as he struggles with PTSD and the lingering scars of Vietnam, confronting the personal fallout of war while searching for redemption and healing through unexpected relationships. The story blends sports, drama, and emotional depth, introducing a flawed but resilient hero determined to rebuild his life.
Rawley expands Cobb’s world in January Freeze and March Is Madness, raising the stakes with espionage, family turmoil, covert missions, and high-risk confrontations stretching from the Caribbean to the Florida Everglades. As Peter pursues a long-shot baseball comeback, he’s repeatedly pulled into dangerous battles involving smugglers, undercover agents, and buried secrets—while still wrestling with grief, guilt, and the weight of his past. Together, the three novels deliver a gripping mix of suspense, heart, and hard-won second chances.

Peter Cobb" is a great read with interesting characters, a solid plot, and main characters that you will care about. You can see the influence that Harlan Coben has on the author with the character development, plot twists, and suspense. I hope we will see these characters in future books. Anyone with a connection to Racine, W! (where the author grew up) will enjoy this book because several Racine landmarks are featured in the story. Can't wait to read more from Shane.
