Career and Accomplishments

Shane Rawley is a former professional baseball pitcher who had a successful 12-year career in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1978 to 1989. A left-handed pitcher known for his consistency and competitiveness, Rawley played for four different teams: the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, and Philadelphia Phillies.

He made his MLB debut with the Mariners in 1978 but truly found his stride with the Philadelphia Phillies in the mid-1980s. Rawley’s standout season came in 1986 when he was named to the National League All-Star team, suffering an injury which caused him to miss the remaining three months of the season. He returned to the mound in 1987, finishing the year with a career-best 17 wins. Known for his versatility, Rawley was used both as a starter and reliever throughout his career, making him a valuable asset to his teams.

You can see the influence that Harlan Coben has on the author with the character development, plot twists, and suspense. I hope we will see these characters in future books. Anyone with a connection to Racine, W! (where the author grew up) will enjoy this book because several Racine landmarks are featured in the story. Can't wait to read more from Shane.
